Obituary | Cheryl “Cherie” Singer, 68, of Kewaskum

July 6, 2020 – Kewaskum, WI – Cheryl “Cherie” K. Singer (nee Tabor), 68, of Kewaskum passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2020.

She was born on June 12, 1952 to the late Vincent and Caroline (nee Sutherland) Tabor in Harmony, MN. She grew up on the family farm in Minnesota. On November 7, 1987, she was united in marriage to Ken Singer in Wykoff, MN. Cherie worked as a CNA. Later she worked in Manufacturing, which brought her to Wisconsin. Cherie was a member of various author groups. She enjoyed writing and wrote three futuristic Sci-Fi romance novels. Cherie loved cooking, sewing, and riding horses. She was a foster mother for many years of over 40 children, adopting four wonderful children. Cherie especially enjoyed spending time with family and will be missed by all who knew her.

Those Cherie leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Ken Singer; six children, Margrette “Maggie” Singer, Aaron Singer, Ethan Singer, Kathrynne “Katie” Singer, Kari Martig, and Eric (Candice) Ellcey; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Chelsimae, Jayce, Cameron, Hailey, Kelly “Gorde”, and Kaylee; two sisters, Evie (Gene) Schuler and Deb “Boo” Bell; a brother, Rodney (Dorothy) Tabor; two brothers-in-law, Steve Singer and Gary (Debbie) Singer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Richard “Yogi” Bell.

A Celebration of Life service in remembrance of Cherie will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at the pavilion in River Hill Park, 1150 Parkview Dr, Kewaskum.  If you are planning to attend the service, please bring your own chair.

The Myrhum-Patten Funeral and Cremation Service have been entrusted with Cherie’s arrangements.
