May 3, 2018 – Hartford, WI – The Energizers Dance Team from Hartford brought home Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies in the Worlds Dance competition in Orlando April 28-30. This competition, hosted by the US All Star Federation, is the premier event of its kind, drawing teams from all over the world to compete for the coveted Worlds ring and Globe trophy in categories such as Pom, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Contemporary/Lyrical.

This prestigious event is held at the Coronado Resort and is by invitation only, teams must earn a bid to participate. This year 14,000 athletes, 800 teams and 42 countries were represented.

The Energizers have been attending Worlds since the very first World Championship in 2007 and have won 6 Gold, 6 Silver, and 3 Bronze trophies, for a total of 15 World Titles.

Dancers train at the 18,000-square-foot Dream Center on Western Drive in Hartford which offers recreational and competitive options for dancers of all ages. Throughout the year, the Energizers All Star, Youth, Mini, and Tiny teams compete throughout the Midwest and even Las Vegas and enjoy dancing in the local holiday parades.

This year’s winning routines were Open Pom “Uno”, Open Coed Pom “Star Wars”, and Senior Pom “Stoplight.”

This weekend, May 5 – 6, the Energizers will perform additional routines and be joined by their Youth and Mini teammates at The Summit competition in Orlando.

The team learned the Energizers program has produced more Top 10 USASF college scholarship recipients than any other studio, gym or team in the entire world. “That speaks volumes about the types of athletes we have developed from the small town of Hartford, WI,” said coach Sheila Trost.

“We are so proud of this because it supports the fact that we help build champion people. All of the different leadership activities, mentor experiences and high expectations on and off the floor have been recognized and appreciated by the scholarship committee.
