UPDATE | Charges filed following suspicious fire in Lomira, WI | By Dodge Co. Sheriff

January 24, 2025 – Dodge Co., WI – Connor Bralich, 21, from Lomira, had his initial court hearing Friday morning and has been charged with Arson to a Building.
He is currently being held in custody at the Dodge County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond. As always, all persons are innocent until proven guilty in court.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was fortunate to make such a quick arrest in this case and locate the suspect thanks to witnesses, police work, and the use of technology.

Property loss management

A key component to this quick arrest was the use of automated license plate readers which gave authorities an area to look for the suspect’s vehicle.

Being able to narrow the search drastically, authorities were able to locate Connor Bralich quickly, which resulted in his arrest nearly 2 hours from the time of the fire being reported.


January 23, 2025- Lomira, WI – On January 23
, 2025 at approximately 3:40 p.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received numerous 911 calls about a two story home on fire in the 900 block of Main Street in Lomira.

Witnesses that observed the fire alerted our dispatch center of a suspicious male at the location just prior to the fire being reported.  

Lomira Contract Deputies with the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene quickly and began clearing as much of the house they could to determine if there was anyone inside.  

The Lomira Fire Department arrived on scene and began fire suppression efforts as well as clearing the residence for occupants.  There were no occupants inside the home, but there were two dogs that were removed and they are safe.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s office quickly followed up on the suspicious person that was reported, and an arrest was made in regards to this fire.

A 21-year-old male from Lomira has been placed under arrest and is being booked into the Dodge County Jail for arson.

Assisting at the scene was the Lomira Fire Department, Lomira First Responders, Theresa Fire Department, Knowles Fire Department, Brownsville Fire Department, Campbellsport Fire Department, Mayville Fire Department, Mayville EMS, Allenton Fire Department, Eden FireDepartment and Kewaskum Fire Department.

This fire is still under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshall.  More information will be released as soon as possible.
