May 8, 2026 – Town of Calumet, WI – On Friday, May 8, 2026, at approximately 9:28 a.m. the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Communications center received a call from a passerby reporting a structure fire at W2211 CTH HHH in the Town of Calumet, Fond du Lac County. The Calumet Fire Department along with deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews located a pole shed with smoke coming from the building. Preliminary investigation indicates that a boat stored within the shop area of the structure caught fire. The fire subsequently spread into the attic space of the building.
Firefighters were able to bring the situation under control and successfully contained the fire to the shop and attic areas of the pole shed.
The following departments assisted at the scene Calumet First Responders, Mount Calvary Fire Department, Town of Fond du Lac Fire Department, Stockbridge Fire Department, RIT Team 4, New Holstein Fire Department, Eden Fire Department, St. Cloud Fire Department, St. Anna Fire Department, and Chilton Fire Department.
The incident remains under investigation by the Calumet Fire Department. No further information is being released.
