VIDEO | Barton man, Augustine Ridolfi, injured in house explosion in July 2021 has died

January 19, 2022 – West Bend, WI – It was July 23, 2021 when the sky just northeast of the old Lighthouse Lanes lit up following a house explosion on Norman Drive in the Town of Barton. The Washington County Fair was underway, and nine fire departments raced to the scene.

A father and son were badly burned. Now, nearly six months to the day of the incident, Augustine Ridolfi, 77, has died.

An obituary published by the Proko Funeral Home in Kenosha, WI said “he passed away peacefully on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI due to complications following a natural gas explosion in his home on July 23.”

Services for Ridolfi will be held Tuesday, January 25, at Proko Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Mass intentions will be said for Augustine on February 3, July 7 and July 25 at St. Mary’s in West Bend at 6:15 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s, 406 Jefferson Street, West Bend, WI 53090.
