Equipment destroyed in barn fire Friday afternoon in Town of Hartford | By Sgt. Uhan

March 18, 2022 – Town of Hartford, WI – On Friday, March 18, 2022, at 5:57 p.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a partially collapsed barn on fire at 5360 Arthur Road in the Town of Hartford.

Deputies responded along with fire personnel from the following departments: Slinger, St. Lawrence, Hartford, Allenton, and Richfield. Lifestar, Wisconsin State Patrol, and Slinger Police also assisted.

The fire was extinguished by fire personnel. The barn had previously been deemed a loss, and several thousand dollars of equipment was destroyed. Arthur Road, in the immediate area of the fire, was closed for approximately three hours. No one was injured as a result of the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
