February 6, 2021 – West Bend, WI – During renovations to Cedar Bay West Assisted Living, a time capsule dated 1974 was discovered by the construction team. Two now-retired Cedar Community team members, Cindy Kuepper and Bonnie Yogerst, who were on staff at that time joined current team for the opening of the time capsule.
Enjoy this small glimpse into Cedar Community’s history.
The lid of the copper box was pulled back to unveil a copy of “Good News for Modern Man,” along with a copy of “Cedar Chips” a newsletter for the families.
Other treasures included medicinal cups, a copy of groundbreaking in 1975, a list of residents and staff along with administrator Mrs. Gumm along with Heidi Thomas.
There was also a paperback book from 1975 of various news articles.
