April 29, 2022 – Sheboygan County, WI – On Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 8:32 p.m., the Sheboygan County 911 dispatch center received several calls about a multi-vehicle injury accident that occurred on Hwy 57 at Hwy MM in the Town of Rhine.
Preliminary information is that a northbound vehicle went left of center and struck a southbound vehicle head-on.
There was a fatally injured person from each of those vehicles.
Shortly after this accident, there were two secondary accidents from vehicles approaching the original accident scene.
This incident is currently under investigation and further information will be forthcoming.
The following public safety agencies assisted in this incident: Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, Elkhart Lake Police Department, Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, Flight for Life, Orange Cross Ambulance, Kiel Ambulance, Glenbeulah Fire Department, Glenbeulah First Responders, Elkhart Lake Fire Department, Elkhart Lake Jaws for Life, Elkhart Lake First Responders, Wisconsin State Patrol, the Sheboygan County Drone Team, and the Sheboygan County Highway Department.
Update: Fatal injured are Dorothy L. Friede of Adell and Betty Mae Seibel of Saint Cloud. The accident is pending the State Patrol Investigation.
