August 7, 2023 – Fond du Lac Co., WI -This weekend a Fond du Lac County K9 deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the city of Fond du Lac and K9 Rip was deployed to conduct an open-air sniff around the vehicle.

K9 Rip alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted. Inside, deputies located a crack pipe and scale, crack, and one of the newest variations of fentanyl to this area – red fentanyl.
The driver was arrested for multiple drug related offenses and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail.
The driver is out on parole for possession with intent to deliver cocaine, so a probation and parole hold was also placed on the suspect.
Deputies conducted a subsequent search of the driver’s home and located a variety of additional quantities of illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, cutting agents, and other items related to the sale and distribution of illegal drugs. A total weight of 27 grams of crack and 12 grams of red fentanyl was seized between the car and home. Depending on the purity of the fentanyl, this quantity could contain upwards of 6,000 lethal doses.
Drug dealers may make changes to the formula, type, or color of the illegal drugs they are trafficking over time, but we remain steadfast in our commitment to identify and hold accountable those who distribute these deadly substances in our community.
