June 2, 2017 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend Police Department along with the West Bend Fire Department investigated a fire at the Wayne Road apartments, 1200 Wayne Road, on June 1 at 2:10 p.m.
The fire was contained to one apartment and the damage estimate is $70,000.
Two occupants of the apartment were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross.
There were no injuries. The cause of the fire appears to be as a result of a child playing with fireworks.
