Gas station in neighboring Dodge County broken into – feels like a trend following Mayfield Mobil incident

Dec. 6, 2016 – Lomira, WI – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office investigated a breaking and entering complaint at the Shell gas station, 400 East Ave, Lomira.

At about 12:48 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, the Sheriff’s Office received a report from an employee who said the alarm was sounding.  The caller said another employee recently closed up for the night, and returned to find the front glass doors shattered. That employee backed away and called 911.

Deputies responded and found that forced entry was made by breaking two sets of glass doors in the front of the store. Preliminary investigation indicates that cigarettes, beef jerky, and Green Bay Packers clothing was taken. The suspects were gone upon Deputies arrival.

The case is currently being investigated by the Dodge County Detective Division. Citizens should call the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office to report any information or tips involving this case.
