October 1, 2020 – Washington Co., WI – Good news for motorists traveling Highway 33 between County Trunk Highway M and Newburg as the deck repairs on the bridge over the Milwaukee River have been completed ahead of schedule.
Highway 33 reopen to Newburg
Construction crews began the project Monday, September 14 at WIS 33 over the Milwaukee River in the Town of Trenton. The target completion date was October 2, 2020.
- Work includes bridge deck repair and over
- Full closure of WIS 33 over the Milwaukee River for approximately 3 weeks starting September 14.
- Through traffic will be detoured along County M and Main Street in Newburg.
- Local access will be available up to the road closure located at the bridge.
WIS 33 was scheduled to open October 2 (weather dependent).
