Dec. 26, 2017 – Jackson, WI – Tracks in the snow indicate that someone was checking vehicles in driveways last night. At this point, it looks like Ash, Pine, and Juniper were most affected.
We assume two people were involved; one to drive and the other to prowl. The goal was to find unlocked vehicles from which to steal money or valuables. We’re not aware of any successful entries, so our thanks to people for locking their cars and trucks.
We’re looking for videos from cameras and video doorbells that might show suspects or their vehicle.
This isn’t a new phenomenon, and it’s not unique to these streets or this community. These cases come in waves, it seems, as some punks get the bright idea to make some quick money.
We recently arrested a young Jackson man for doing this, but the problem doesn’t disappear. Keep those doors locked and outside lights on.
