Obit: Carol June Voeks, 84, of Silver Creek

Dec. 26, 2017 – Silver Creek, WI – Carol June Voeks, 84, of Silver Creek died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.  She was born June 4, 1933 in the Town of Farmington to Elmer and Hildegard Plaum and married Donald G. Voeks on September 30, 1950 at St. Martin’s U.C.C. Church in Fillmore, WI.

Carol was employed as the Executive Secretary to the Administer of the Random Lake School District from 1977 to 1996. Carol’s passion was music.  She was the organist and choir director for St. Paul’s U.C.C church in Silver Creek for many years and later was a member of the choir at New Horizon U.C.C.  in Kewaskum.  She enjoyed going to Branson, MO to attend shows and was a season ticket holder of the Melody Top Theater in Milwaukee.  Following in her father’s footsteps, Carol believed in civil service.  She was an election inspector for the Town of Sherman, and the Chief Inspector for the last 10 years.

Carol is survived by her husband, Donald of Silver Creek, WI, her sons, Jeffrey (Jacquelyn) of Hollister, MO and their daughter Jennifer (Joe) Davidson of Huntsville, AL and their children Jacob and Jackie of Shippensburg, PA; Steven (Phyllis) of Smithville, MO and their daughters Erica (Nic) Delorme of Overland Park, KS, and their son Liam, and Allison (Brian) Roe of Mount Laurel, NJ; Michael (Anna-Marie) of Grafton, WI and their sons Justin of Chicago, IL and Aaron of Grafton, WI.

She is preceded in death by her sons, William O. and Donald E., her daughter-in-law, Bette, and her siblings, Carl Plaum and Marion (nee Plaum) Geib.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at New Horizon U.C.C., 9663 Hwy. 144 Kewaskum, WI.  Rev. David Schlieter will be officiating.  The family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice would be appreciated.

The Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend is serving the family.
