The KML cheer team, coaches and family members flew to Orlando February 5. The long weekend was filled with practices, competition, and fun.

On Thursday, KML participated in a practice with all the teams from Wisconsin. That included Greendale, Appleton North, Brookfield Central, Greenfield, Sheboygan South, Brookfield East, Hudson, Menomonee Falls and Brookfield’s Junior Lancers.

Friday was the big day. KML competed in the Division II Super Large Game Day division against 31 other teams. Only 14 teams moved on to the next round- with KML being one of them. The day was very fast paced and packed with action. The KML cheer team, coaches and family are extremely proud to have made it to the second, or semi-finals round. KML was ranked 11th place in the entire nation.

The team and family celebrated the accomplishment with a private breakfast at EPCOT, where they met Minnie Mouse in a cheerleading uniform! The team and family finished their trip with spending team bonding time at the most magical place on earth- Walt Disney World.

The team is very thankful for the experience. The support from family, friends, sponsors and other Wisconsin cheer teams was overwhelming and so appreciated. To God be the glory.
