Letter to the Editor | Vote April 4 | By Liana Dronso

March 24, 2023 – West Bend, Wi – Bill Shulz has been a vocal and very present parent at each WBSD school board meeting for the better part of the past two years. His focus from day one has been the children, and doing his part to make sure WBSD is a safe and healthy environment for them to learn and thrive in!
Letter to the Editor vote
He has addressed many issues that needed tackling to bring about more accountability, safety, and transparency.
His family-first efforts and strong blue-collar work ethic make him a valuable asset to our community.
He grew up here, and he has the spine and moral compass to do what is right on behalf of the kids in this district.
Because his priority, above all, has always been a student’s first mentality!
We need to be able to trust our school board members with leading the way in making decisions that require both heart and logic. Yet more than that, the kind of board members that will be willing to stand up with integrity and passion and be a true voice for their constituents.
Melanie Ehrgott and John Donaldson were also just vocal, involved, passionate parents in this community who made a point to be present and active in their children’s school board. Bill Shulz has also been there, putting in the work and going the extra mile to ensure conservative values are still, and will continue to be, a priority in the WBSD.
He is running with Nick Stewart, a Marine combat Veteran, Firefighter, and mental health Professional. Truly a man of integrity, honesty, duty, and above all, action.
And Laurie Schloemer-Aleven, a R.N. who believes strongly in the WBSD and who will be a respectful and responsible asset to our Board as well.
Before two years ago, I would never have understood how important and absolutely dire it is to have our school board seats be filled not with clout-chasers, ladder-climbers, or community members looking to get their egos stroked, but by true hearted individuals who hold fast to their convictions! Retaining strong and unwavering moral absolutes.
I have seen all too well in this community how very important whom we elect to steward our children’s education truly is. This April 4, make sure you vote for the ones most likely to fill that role. To form a shield wall around our precious children and uphold the standard of education they absolutely deserve.
