Starting today Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue will have the ability to use an automatic chest compression system for cardiac arrest patients.
Assistant Chief Todd Janquart said they bought five Lucas Chest Compression Systems.
He said they can use the units to do chest compressions over longer periods of time and hopefully improve their resuscitation rates.
Janquart said using the systems will also allow paramedics to see to the rest of the patient’s needs.
