Obituary | Michael James Wolford, 46, of West Bend

December 12, 2021 – West Bend, WI – Michael James Wolford, 46, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at the Froedtert of West Bend.

He was born on June 22, 1975, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Roger Wolford and Maureen (nee Smith) Schweitzer. Michael proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. His passion was Jeeps and dogs. Michael’s life was his kids and his wife Maria, spending time with family and friends.

Michael is survived by the love of his life and wife of 20 years, Maria JaQuet; children, Austyn and Trinity; mother Maureen (John) Schweitzer; parents-in-law John (Tina) Bruce; brother, Robbie (Lisa) Wolford; step-siblings; Holly (Rich) Hawkins, Kyle (Vanessa) Schweitzer, Brent (McKenna) Schweitzer; brother-in-law, Mike (Annick) JaQuet; cousins, Deanna Kolff, Henry (Christine “Noodles”) Kolff, Kenny (Trish) Kolff; uncles Mike and Steve Smith, Charlene (Greg) Hensley; nieces and nephews, Brandon and Autum Wolford, Autumn and Eliyana JaQuet. He is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leno (Lilia), Eddie, Rudy (Jessica), Julie, Veronica, Mara, Candy, Erik, Kyle, Brianna (Brett), other relatives and friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his father Roger, all his grandparents, his aunt Doreen (Kenneth) Kolff and his beloved pit bull Tyson.

A Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with Military Honors to follow. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, December 20 from 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
