Motorcycle accident in neighboring Dodge County turns fatal

Sept. 16, 2017 – Dodge Co., WI – On Sept. 2, 2017 at 7:15 a.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on CTH G at the intersection with CTH FW, in the Township of Westford, Dodge County.

Preliminary investigation shows at approximately 2:30 a.m., William J. Golliher, 27, from Harvard, Illinois was operating a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle and was traveling north on CTH FW, approaching a stop sign at the intersection with CTH G.

The motorcycle failed to stop for the stop sign and traveled through the intersection and into the north ditch where it vaulted and overturned.  Golliher was ejected and the motorcycle struck a parked (unattended) vehicle.  A resident found Golliher and the motorcycle at approximately 7:15 a.m.

Golliher was flown from the scene by Flight for Life to UW Hospital in Madison and died on Sept. 16, 2017.

Assisting at the scene was:  Randolph EMS and Fire Department, Flight for Life, Beaver Dam Paramedics and Town of Fox Lake Police.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Medical Examiner and the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
