Dec. 6, 2018 – West Bend, WI – The Amity Rolfs Nativity has found a new home in West Bend.
The display, which is a hallmark of the holiday, is in place on the front lawn of Holy Angels Parish on 138 N. Eighth Avenue.
Volunteers assembled the nativity to coincide with the first week of Advent.
The Shepherd and his sheep rest at the foot of the crèche as the Wisemen and Mary and Joseph await the arrival of Baby Jesus.
Below is a note from Rev. Heppe
I have a very energetic staff that went ahead and got it together earlier than we planned. Looks really good. Should we do a blessing? I really wanted Terry Vrana to place the child in the manger. The baby has not yet arrived in the manger at this point. We took the whole “barn” and everything and it’s on the front lawn of the rectory. We could do a blessing after a Sunday Mass where there’ll be people present.
Let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks for the connections!!
