March 30, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Allen E. Gierach, 77, of West Bend, born to Eternal Life on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.
Allen was born on August 4, 1939, in Grafton, the son of the late Reinhold and Edna (Buth) Gierach. On June 6, 1964, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Zinke at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend.
Allen was a long time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jackson. His life’s work was dairy farming. Allen loved spending time with his grandkids and playing sheepshead.
Those Allen leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Bonnie; three children, Kathleen (Jim) Haase of Rochester, Minnesota, Kevin (Melanie) Gierach and Bruce (Andrea) Gierach both of West Bend; eight grandchildren, Emily and Grace Haase, Jacob and Kerewyn Cass and Lilia Gierach, Christian, Nathan, and Trinity Gierach; a sister, Viola (Ray) Fischer of Jackson; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by a grandson, Henry Haase.
Allen’s family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, April 3, 2017, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2881 Division Road, in Jackson from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a service to follow. Rev. Paul Mittermaier will officiate and burial will take place in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jackson or to Kathy Hospice are appreciated.
