Obit: Barbara Ann Carr, 68, Rubicon

Barbara Ann Carr  age 68 of Rubicon, Wisconsin passed away at home surround by her loving family on Sunday, September 25, 2016.

Barbara was born in Phillips, WI to Charles & Justine Polacek on September 23, 1948.  She went to high school at Germantown and graduated in 1966.  She worked as a Customer Service Representative for Broan-Nu-Tone for 20+ years.  Many people have commented that she was the best Customer Service person they have ever talked to.  Her life was her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.  She was a staple at every special event there was for them.

Barbara’s hobbies and enjoyment were shopping, baking, and sewing.  She helped many brides with creations and alterations of there wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses among many, many clothes sewn with love.  She belonged to St. John’s Christian Mothers and loved to make baked goods for the church functions.  Her favorite thing to do with Jim was to take off on their Honda trike and ride.

Barbara is survived by her husband, James Carr of  Rubicon.  Her children Angy (Chris) Steiner, Shane (Kim) Carr,  Amy (Steve) Muras.  Her Dear Grandchildren, Joshua, Cyle, Aleya, Aleisha and Emmett and her Dear Great-Grandchild Kinsley.  Her sisters and brother, her mother-in-law and sister-in-law and her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her loving husband James

Barb is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Justine Polacek, brother Billy Polacek and niece, Katie Polacek.

Barbara welcomed anyone and everyone into her home and life.  Her love and generosity will be missed by all that knew her.

Visitation will be held at Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford on Monday, October 3rd from 4-7p.m. with a prayer service to follow.
