Obit: Daniel Ebert, 82, of Fillmore

June 28, 2017 – Fillmore, WI – Daniel H. Ebert of Fillmore died on Monday, June 26, 2017 at his home at the age of 82 years. He was born on September 14, 1934 in the Town of Osceola to the late John and Alvina (nee Kutz) Ebert.

After graduating from Campbellsport High School with the Class of 1952, he enlisted into the United States Air Force, serving as a mechanic. Following his discharge in 1957, he returned to Wisconsin.

On April 27, 1957, he was united in marriage to Darlene M. Voigt at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee. Darlene predeceased May 18, 2014.

The couple settled in Fillmore where they made their home. For a short time, he worked at Regal Ware.  In 1960, he began working at Gehl Company, retiring in 1997 after 37 years of faithful employment.

He was a member of the Waubeka Post 7037 VFW, the Random Lake Post 145 American Legion, the Fillmore Horseshoe Club and was a dedicated and active member of St. Martin’s United Church of Christ.

Survivors include 2 sons: Greg (Susan) Ebert of Grafton and Kip (Kathy) Brooks of West Bend; 4 grandchildren: Alysha (Lars) Neske, Lucas Ebert, Dakota Brooks and Dalton Brooks; 1 great-granddaughter Skylar Neske; brothers-in-law Clarence, Jr. (Arlene) Voigt of West Bend and Ronald Voigt of West Bend; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 sister and 8 brothers.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 30 at 4 p.m. at St. Martin’s United Church of Christ, 692 Highway H, Fillmore with Mr. Dan Noenning officiating. A gathering for family and friends will be at the church on Friday from 2 until 3:45p.m.

Memorials to St. Martin’s UCC appreciated.

The Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend is serving the family.
