Obit: Dr. Aurora A. (Alonzo) Sison, 79, of Kewaskum

June 25, 2017 – Kewaskum, WI – Dr. Aurora A. Sison, 79, of Kewaskum, entered eternal life on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend, surrounded by her loving family

She was born on October 5, 1937, in Navotas, Rizal, Philippine, the daughter of the late Ireneo and Elpidia (nee Espinosa) Alonzo.  On February 14, 1964, Aurora was united in marriage to Dr. Cesar V. Sison in Angono, Rizal, Philippines.

Aurora practiced as an anaesthesiologist at St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend.  In her lifetime, Aurora had many interests. She loved Halloween and decorating her home for the holidays.  She had a passion for anything Disney.  Aurora also enjoyed playing tennis, drawing, painting, traveling, cruising and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Those Aurora leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 53 years Cesar; three children, Norman “Jon” (Mary Jo) Sison of West Bend, Cesar Jr. “Sonny” (Kathleen) Sison of Kewaskum and Ira (Theresa) Sison of Bay View; three grandchildren, Aidan Sison of West Bend, and Cole and Quinn Sison of Bay View; two sisters, Marina Alonzo of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and Erlinda Alonzo Tecson of Navotas, Rizal, Philippines; a special family friend, Linda Kirst of Kewaskum, other relatives and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Aurora was preceded in death by an aunt, Nena Espinosa.

Visitation for Aurora will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 215 Forest Ave., in Kewaskum from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.  Visitation will continue on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main St., in Kewaskum, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial for Aurora at 10:00 am.  Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and burial will follow at the parish cemetery.

The Sison family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the CV ICU staff at Froedtert Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend, and the staff at Cedar Crossings Rehabilitation for the wonderful care provided to their mom.

The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Aurora’s arrangements.
