Obit: Joseph P. Wiedemann, 85, of West Bend

Dec. 22, 2016 – West Bend, WI – Joseph P. Wiedemann, age 85 years of West Bend, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 21, 2016.

Joe was born on March 21, 1931 in Milwaukee to George L. and Anna M. (nee Koessler) Wiedemann.  He married Dianne J. (nee Kriefall) on September 14, 1957 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Menomonee Falls.  He attended Boys Tech High School and then served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.  Joe worked at Briggs & Stratton for 41 years.  He enjoyed square and round dancing, sailing, traveling, horses, camping, but most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren.  Former member of Boots & Slippers.

Joseph is survived by his wife Dianne, children Michael, John (Michelle), Susanne (Steve) Henck.  Further survived by his grandchildren Cade Geldreich and Hailey Henck, brother-in-law Robert (Marti) Kriefall, sister-in-law Martie Kriefall, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Preceded in death by his parents, brother George (Olga), sister Virginia (Martin) Kral, sister Joan (Kenneth) Domres.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N 8th Ave, West Bend) with Fr. Patrick Heppe presiding.  Entombment will follow at Washington County Memorial Park.  The Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29th at church from 11:00 AM until the time of Mass at 1:00 PM.  Memorials are appreciated to Holy Angels Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
