Sept. 23, 2018 – Jackson, WI – Roger J. Lipski of Jackson died on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 72 years. He was born on December 17, 1945 in Milwaukee to the late Henry and Florence (nee Krueger) Lipski.
On December 21, 1985, he was united in marriage to Sally A. (nee Schmitt) Terpstra.
For more than 25 years, he worked at Briggs and Stratton, retiring in 2009. He then worked for Kilian Management at area McDonald’s restaurants, spending most of his time at the Jackson location.
He was an enthusiastic fan of Wisconsin sports teams. He also cheered for the Irish at Notre Dame. He enjoyed sharing his love of motorcycles, camping, fishing and hunting with his family.
He is survived by his wife Sally; 5 children: Sherri, Matthew (Wendy), James (Johanna) Terpstra, LeeAnn Pietri (Mike) and Michael (Sandi) Terpstra; 10 grandchildren: Stephanie (John), Austin, Dakota, Cheyenne, Matthew, Angieleek (William), Monica, Felicia, Landon and Bella; 3 great-grandchildren: Kyrie, Talia and Peyton; 1 sister Sandi Zwolinski; his fur-baby Lady; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Mark.
A gathering for family and friends will be held on Monday, September 24 from 3:30 until 6:30 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Jackson. A celebration of Roger’s life will continue at the Jackson Community Center after 7 p.m. Monday.
