Obit: Thomas Wayne Ellmaker, 68, Cedarburg

Thomas Wayne Ellmaker of Cedarburg went home to his Lord and Savior on July 21, 2016 at the age of 68 after a short battle with cancer. Thomas was born in DeKalb, IL on May 12, 1948 the son of Selma (Nee Hussung) and the late Wayne Ellmaker. Thomas was united in marriage to Barbara (nee Martin) on August 15, 1970.

Thomas was a thirty-three year member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church where he served as a Stephen Ministry Leader and was a former elder. Thomas enjoyed coaching soccer, baseball, and basketball for many city recreation leagues. In fact, he coached a 1989-90 expansion team, the Magic, to a Cedarburg recreational basketball league championship. Thomas also enjoyed camping, canoeing, hiking, visiting Disney World, playing Risk, various card games, and making up fun and entertaining games to amuse his children, nieces and nephews, and especially his grandchildren. Thomas was also a pioneer video game enthusiast mastering both Pong and Pac-Man.

Thomas is survived by his wife Barbara; Children: Jeff (Jyl) Ellmaker, Paul Ellmaker and Amanda Ellmaker; Grandchildren: Evelyn and Ames; Mother Selma Ellmaker; siblings: Clare (Charlie) Kostelnick and Ginny (Dick) Thompson; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
