Obit: Viola M. Fritz, 89, Campbellsport

Viola M. Fritz, 89, of Campbellsport, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Ivy Manor in Campbellsport.

Viola was born on February 21, 1927, the daughter of the late Adolph and Edna (Schmidt) Glass. On September 21, 1946, she was united in marriage to Reuben Fritz at St. John’s Reformed Church in Beechwood. Reuben preceded Viola in death on September 20, 2010.

As a young adult, Viola did house work for several years before getting married and then was employed by Amity Leather in West Bend for 10 years. She later worked for Regal Ware in Kewaskum for 22 years. Viola and Reuben farmed for many years in the Theresa area. They looked forward to and enjoyed attending the Sheboygan County Fair along with other farm day events. She loved to listen to polka music, gardening, baking cookies, and canning.

Those Viola leaves behind to cherish her memory include three brothers, Marloe Glass of Fond du Lac, Orville (Joan) Glass of Eden, and Rolland (Lorna) Glass of Lomira; nieces and nephews, Randall (Cindy) Glass, Bonnie (John) Burmeister, Richard Glass, Brian Glass, Joy (Alan) Tassler, Roger Glass, Alan (Christine) Glass and Judy (Harlow) Reseburg, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Viola was preceded in death by two brothers, Norbert and Elroy Glass and a sister, Irene Hinn.

Funeral services for Viola will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2016, at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home, 350 Main Street, in Lomira with Pastor Bill Beaton officiating. Entombment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
