Obit: Wesley H. Darmody, 92, Kohlsville

Wesley H. Darmody, age 92, of Kohlsville, found peace on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Cedar Community, West Bend.

He was born on October 02, 1923 in West Bend to the late Mike and Violenta (nee Zimmel) Darmody and was united in marriage to Pearl Endlich on July 3, 1946 at St. John’s Church in Kohlsville.

After marriage, they bought the family farm, raised their family and lived there for 84 years. They enjoyed playing Hearts Sheepshead in a card club with friends for over 50 years. He enjoyed the outdoors working the land, making firewood, fishing and a good Scat card game.

Those Wesley leave behind to cherish his memory include his three children, Gary Darmody, Nancy (Timothy) Stoffel, and Peggy Darmody; two grandchildren, Clayton and Karla Stoffel; sister, Vivian Bartelt; brother, Jerry (Marian) Darmody; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Pearl; daughter, Marilynn Breit; two sisters, Hazel (Eugene) Weinand and Blanche (Wilmer) Hawig; brother, Clyde (Mildred) Darmody, sister-in-law, Esther (Bill) Breitag; brother-in-law, Wally Bartelt; son-in-law, Warren “Chuck” Blohm; his son Gary’s fiancé, Barbara  Gesch.

Funeral service in remembrance of Wesley will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Church (Cty. Rd. WW and Beaver Dam Rd.), in Kohlsville with Rev. Terrie Beede officiating.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Memorials to Cedar Community Village and St. John’s Evangelical Church are appreciated by the family.
