Here we are on the first anniversary of Betty’s death. She was a wonderful person in every aspect of her life. She was a good mother, wife and friend…in essence, she was a good person. I knew Betty as a friend for more than forty years. She was always kind to me, considerate and respectful. This is considerably more than I can say for some of her descendants.

To the bereaved family, I say remember and be thankful for all the wonderful moments you had with Betty during her lifetime. She lived a very long and healthy life. Be thankful! Not everyone has had their parents around as long as you did. For me, Betty was a good friend and I miss her.
