October 30, 2019 – West Bend, WI – Charlotte J. “Char” Johnson (nee Schneider), passed away on Sunday October 27, 2019 at her residence with her family surrounding her. She was born on January 11, 1943 in Milwaukee to Alexander and Ida (nee Wrobbel) Schneider. She graduated from Washington High School Class of 1962. On September 14, 1963, Charlotte married Roland Johnson at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milwaukee and began her family. The couple moved to Slinger in 1994 and then to West Bend in 2017 to the present. Her passion was studying the word of God and spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies were jewelry making and painting.
Charlotte is survived by her husband Roland, her children; Craig (Shawna) Johnson, Jeanine (Rodd) Neitzel, grandchildren; Katie (Tony) Schellinger, Justin and Megan Neitzel, David Warner (fiancé Faith Larson), Sara, Emily and Joshua Johnson, great-grandson Dexter Schellinger, her brother Alex (Jeannine) Schneider, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Service for Charlotte will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W Paradise Dr West Bend, WI 53095, with Rev. Luke Love presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m.
The family would like to thank the staff at Horizon Hospice, Judy Benson, Pat Steinbauer and Pam Taubenheim for all the care they gave to Charlotte.
