Obituary | Dennis J. Becker, 80, of West Bend

November 5, 2019 – West Bend, WI –Dennis J. Becker, 80, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019 in the presence of his family and friends at Kathy Hospice in West Bend. He was born to Adolph and Leona Becker on August 27, 1939 at home in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, where he was raised. He attended Menomonee Falls High School, graduating in 1957. Dennis received his engineering degree from MSOE and was employed at P&H Harnischfeger Mining Corporation for more than 30 years. On December 2, 1972, he was united in marriage with Mary Dierbeck at St. Boniface Church in Germantown, Wisconsin. Dennis enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, bowling, hiking, gardening, volunteering, and spending time with family. He was an active member of St. Lawrence Parish, the Moose Lodge West Bend 1938, and West Bend Lakes Golf Club.

Dennis is survived by his wife Mary Becker (nee Dierbeck); Daughters Kendra (Court) Ramaeker, Erica Becker (Chad Peters), Brenda (Jim) Frank, and son Brandon “Buck” Becker; Grandchildren Cres Ramaeker and Matt and Nate Frank; Sisters Agnes Vande Zande and Lucy Bartelt and brother John Becker. Further survived by his dog Molly, cat Sweetie, and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond Becker.

A Funeral Service for Dennis will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday November 9 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Rev. Rick Stoffel presiding. A visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Burial at St. Lawrence Cemetery to follow.

Memorials in Dennis’s honor are appreciated to Kathy Hospice (3232 Pleasant Valley Road, West Bend, WI, 53095) or the Froedtert Kraemer Cancer Center (3200 Pleasant Valley Road, West Bend, WI, 53095).

Dennis’s family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Kathy Hospice for the exceptional care they provided him and the wonderful staff at the Kraemer Cancer Center at St. Joe’s Hospital in West Bend.
