Obituary | LeRoy J. Doll, 92, of Hartford

March 3, 2020 – Hartford, WI – LeRoy J. Doll, 92, of Hartford, Wisconsin entered eternal peace on Monday, March 2, 2020 at the Aurora Medical Center-Hartford.

LeRoy J. Doll

LeRoy was born July 30, 1927 to Herman and Anna (nee Engeleiter) Doll in the town of Herman. He married Veronica R. Fritz on May 7, 1949 at Sacred Heart Parish in Allenton. They lived and raised their family in the Hartford area. LeRoy worked for the West Bend Aluminum Company / Chrysler / Bayliner for 41 years among other various part-time jobs. After retiring, LeRoy did upholstery for many years. He was a member of the Hartford Senior Friends, the Knights of Columbus, volunteer at the WI Auto Museum, and enjoyed playing Sheep’s-head, hunting, fishing, and traveling. He also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

LeRoy is survived by his wife Veronica of 70 years; children, Thomas (Cheryl) Doll of West Bend, Steven (Jean) Doll of Stoughton, Kris (Gary) Wolf of Hubertus, Daniel (Mary) Doll of Hartford; grandchildren, Steven (Sandy), Michael (April), Kimberlee (Rob), Adam, Randy (Mykalia), Chris, and Sarah (Tony); great-grandchildren, Jonah, Julia, Samual, Simon, Michael, Sierra, Lily, Aaleya, Lance, Cora, and Eli. He is further survived by his sisters, Armella Dolgner and Virginia (Stan) Griesmer; siblings-in-law, Carol Doll, Julia Doll, and Janet Fritz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Doll; parents; parents-in-law, Henry and Anita Fritz; brothers, Herman (Betty), Leander, and Eugene Doll; sisters, Dorothy (Al) Muckerheide, Maryann (Jerry) Schaefer, Theresa (Joe) Melzer; siblings-in-law, Henry Guetzkow, Wayne Dolgner, Grenfol Zweig, Dorothy (Victor) Jazak, Eugene Fritz, and Marilyn (Robert) Steckbauer.

A Mass of Christian Burial for LeRoy will be celebrated Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11 a.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 264 W. State Street, Hartford, WI 53027, with Rev. David LaPlante officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Interment in St. Kilian Catholic Cemetery, Hartford.

In memory of LeRoy, contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association-WI Chapter (620 S. 76th Street Suite 160, Milwaukee, WI 53214) are appreciated.

The Doll Family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Gardens of Hartford for the wonderful care they provided LeRoy (and Veronica) the past four years.
