Obituary | Patricia “Patty” Lou Steinbauer (nee Reinhardt), 76, of West Bend

September 7, 2020 – West Bend, WI – Patricia “Patty” Lou Steinbauer (nee Reinhardt), 76, of West Bend, WI greeted the angels in heaven on September 2, 2020.

Patricia “Patty” Lou Steinbauer (nee Reinhardt)

She was born on October 25, 1943 in Marinette, WI, the fourth oldest of 8 children born to Walter and Marietta (nee Dionne) Reinhardt. The family later relocated to Milwaukee, WI, where Pat attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and West Division High School. Upon graduation, Pat attained her certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Pat embraced her calling to care for others and held the deepest respect and regard for all health care professionals.

She married the love of her life, Raymond Steinbauer, on October 23, 1965. Pat and Ray were well-known in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Milwaukee for their years of service as proprietors of Ray’s Supermarket. Later the family relocated to West Bend, WI where Pat resumed her nursing career, extending years of service to the Samaritan Health Center and Heartland Home Health in West Bend, WI.

Pat loved and cherished spending time with her family, whether it was the infamous Reinhardt Family Christmas celebration, special family moments, or just an ordinary day. Time spent with her children and grandchildren was her finest. She was a dedicated mom and the best “Oma” one could ever know (even if she wasn’t your Oma!). Her selfless devotion to taking care of others – as nurse, mom, Oma, sister, friend – was all conducted with such genuine gentleness and sincerity that you easily recognized how much she loved, and was loved by, others.

Pat is survived by her two children, Jo Ann (Dan) Hanrahan of Lake Mills and Raymond Jr. (Amber) Steinbauer of Allenton. She is further survived by her five amazingly wonderful grandchildren: Mikaela Hanrahan, Morgan Hanrahan, Lydia Steinbauer, Emilie Steinbauer, and Elias Steinbauer.
