Obituary | Roselia A. Langenecker, 92, of Hartford

Dec. 28, 2018 – Hartford, WI – Rosella A. Langenecker (nee Schwartz) age 92 of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at the Kathy Hospice in West Bend, surrounded by her loving family.

Rosella was born in Town of Addison, WI on March 9, 1926 to Agnes (nee Schmidt) and Joseph Schwartz. She was united in marriage to Clemens “Clem” J. Langenecker on April 23, 1949 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Nenno. Together they operated the family farm and she maintained the bookkeeping until just last week. She loved gardening, crossword puzzles, latch and hook rugs, the family book work, baking and cooking, and reading books.

Rosella is survived by her two sons, Harvey and Harold “Harry” (LaDawn) Langenecker, both of Hartford; grandchildren, Jeremy, Trisha, Ryan, and Ashley, all of Hartford; and brothers, Walter “Wally” of Allenton and Edger (Louise) Schwartz of West Bend. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other dear relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Mathias and Ottilia (nee Martin) Langenecker; brother; Herbert Schwartz; and her loving husband of 64 years, Clem.

Mass of Christian Burial for Rosella will be celebrated, Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 4:00p.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church (264 W. State Street Hartford, WI 53027) with Fr. David LaPlante officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Sunday from 2:00-3:45p.m.

Rosella’s Committal will take place in St. Kilian Catholic Cemetery, Hartford on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 9:00a.m.

Memorial contributions in Rosella’s name to St. Kilian Catholic Church (428 Forest Street Hartford, WI 53027), The Kathy Hospice (3232 Pleasant Valley Road West Bend, WI 53095), or to a charity of one’s choice are appreciated.
