According to Officer Tom Lichtensteiger:
Aaron Murray was an easy choice for the Police Explorer of the Year Award because of all he has given to the West Bend Police Explorers in his 3-year tenure.
Aaron is one of the most reliable Explorers our post has ever had. There were very few times when he was called upon that he did not come through in exceeding our expectations. Aaron also has several great leadership qualities. Aaron would always be the first to step forward and take charge in a group and lead them to success.
Aaron joined Police Explorers in 2012 as he has always had an interest in law enforcement. Aaron came into the post with a simple goal of learning more about the ins and outs of being a professional police officer.
Aaron’s dedication and commitment to the West Bend Police Department, and law enforcement as a whole, also is a big factor in why he was chosen to for the 2015 Police Explorer of the Year Award. Aaron has one of the highest accumulations of community service hours in the history of our post, and he will be greatly missed as he aged out of the Explorer Program in December of 2015.
Aaron is currently attending Moraine Park Technical College. We all know that Aaron will go on to big things and defiantly impact many lives on his journey to becoming a successful law enforcement officer.
