Sept. 20, 2018 – Dodge Co., WI – At 4:57 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018 the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office conducted a routine bar check at the Hardware Store Gentlemen’s Club, 942 Main Street, in the Village of Clyman.
During this bar check an employee of the establishment was found in a private lap dance room performing a sex act on a customer.
Investigation revealed there was an agreement made between the employee and the customer this sex act would occur in exchange for money.
The employee, a 25-year-old female from Milwaukee, was arrested and booked into the jail on a charge of prostitution. The customer, a 64-year-old male from Columbus, was arrested and booked into the jail on a charge of patronizing prostitutes.
Sheriff Dale Schmidt would like to remind the public prostitution is a crime and violators will be arrested.
Often times these acts are directly linked to sex trafficking facilitated by third party individuals who use acts of violence, coercion and threats to force women into acts of prostitution for their profit.
We urge those with information on prostitution or sex trafficking to come forward with that information, including women who may be caught up in the lifestyle so that we can assist them in getting out safely.
As this case is still under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, we will not be releasing the names of the individuals involved at this time.
The charges are being forwarded to the Dodge County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
The Hardware Store owner was contacted and advised that the club would need to close for the remainder of the day. The Sheriff will work directly with the Village of Clyman and provide facts to them for action as the board determines.
