Roots and Branches names new executive director | By Sharron Scott

October 22 , 2020 – West Bend, WI – Roots and Branches has named Amy Johnson as its
new executive director.

Johnson has almost 40 years experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, event planning and working with volunteers. She was previously at Cedar Community as their director of philanthropy and administrative lead for independent living where she retired last December after 10 years with the organization.

Johnson has been active in the local community volunteering for United Way of Washington County, the West Bend Chamber of Commerce and the former Tempo Washington County.

“We are pleased we were able to “draft” Amy out of retirement to accept this position,” said Sharon Scott, president of Roots and Branches.

“The decision to accept was an easy one. I love what Roots and Branches does for West
Bend and you couldn’t ask for a more hard-working and committed board of directors and
volunteers,” Johnson said.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, Roots and Branches, formally the West Bend
Beautification Committee, is a non-profit organization positively impacting the natural
environment of West Bend through programs to provide beautiful gardens in downtown West Bend and monthly education seminars.
