July 2, 2023 – Baraboo, WI – Sarah Krebs is onto Plan B of her Sarah’s Crusade for Corey adventure to complete the 1,500 miles of the Ice Age Trail to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer.
Ben Krebs picks up the story below.
Rough start but after a couple of snoozes on the alarm we were up and running. Feeling adventurous we tried some new iced coffee at Kwik Trip. Not bad but not great. I’ll stick to my nitro brew and lots of it!!
It was hot and humid today without much of a breeze. While waiting for Sarah to change shoes I noticed an amazing looking runner.
She was really moving down the road. It was Sarah’s sweet friend Tina. Thanks again for running with her all day. Another 41.4 miles down and about to start the Sauk segment in the morning. Today was a ridiculously long day of all road. Tomorrow will be more trail so hopefully cooler in the shade.
