Sarah’s Crusade for Corey – cheerleader arrives at Merrimac Ferry

July 2, 2023 – Merrimac, WI. – A quick meeting to cheer on Sarah Krebs as she clips off the miles on the Ice Age Trail.

Krebs pulled into Merrimac, WI off the Ice Age segment around noon Sunday, July 2, 2023.  She was all smiles, despite the heat.

Always on the move as she tackles the 1,500 mile Ice Age Trail to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer, Krebs hot stepped it down to the ferry which zipped across the Wisconsin River and before you know it they were off again

Krebs was looking very strong. She said a lot of the miles recently were on a hard surface which was different then the terrain further north.

Krebs fueled up on a cherry slushy during the ferry ride. She caught up with her kids and family during the brief break. All agreed it was a phenomenal day to be outdoors.


Met Krebs after leaving Fox Lake around 6 a.m.  With 52 sweltery miles on the day the goal is to make it to Lodi, WI and camp the night and then drift east on Hwy 60 into Hartford, WI.
