August 20, 2021 – Slinger, WI – The Slinger Owls opened its season at home in a non-conference matchup against the Menomonee Falls Phoenix.
Senior quarterback Drew Fehrman put the Owls on the board with touchdown in the second quarter. The point after was no good and Slinger led 6 – 0.
At halftime the Slinger School District honored longtime P.A. announcers Ron Naab, Jay German, and Steve Krebs for their combined 78 years of service at football games.
Both teams scored in the second half but Slinger managed the win, 14 – 6.
Next week, August 27, the Owls travel to Marshfield for a 7 p.m. game.
