Three local musicians chosen to perform with the Kettle Moraine Symphony

Following the 45th Washington County Concerto Auditions sponsored by the Moraine Area Private Music Teachers Organization three talented young musicians were chosen to perform in upcoming concerts.

Emmalie Olsen
In the Senior Piano Division, flutist, Emmalie Olsen, was selected as the Symphony Performance Winner and will perform Saturday, March 13, in the Kettle Moraine Symphony concert at 2 p.m. in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in West Bend. Emmalie, a student of Carol Meves, is a junior at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School, and will be performing the first movement of Concerto in G major for Flute, by Giovanni Pergolesi.

 

Featured at the Honors Recital on Sunday, April 10, 2016, at 3 p.m. at the Kewaskum Theatre, will be Junior Piano Division first place winners in the junior division, Hannah Taylor, a student of Lori Schneider, and Grant Peterson, a student of Eileen Schmiege.

Hannah Taylor
Hannah, a 7th grader from St. Frances Cabrini School in West Bend, will be performing A Little Blues Concerto by Eugenie Rocherolle. Grant, a home-schooled 7th grader from West Bend, will be performing Concerto in Classical Style by Martha Mier.

Grant Peterson
In the Senior Piano Division, second place was awarded to Jared Peterson, a student of Anna Asch.
Adjudicating the audition was Dr. Kayme Henkel.

Admission is free for the Honors Recital.
