April 14, 2026 – Washington Co., Wi – Strong storms with heavy lightning passed through Washington County, Wi, early Tuesday morning knocking out power to over 1100 residents.
According to We Energies neighbors in Hartford got hit the hardest with about 800 without power. Â West Bend has 154 without service and in Colgate 86 are out of power.
On Monday the National Weather Service issued a flood watch. Heavy rain swept through Washington County around 1:30 a.m.

According to the National Weather Service severe weather remains forecast this afternoon and evening. All severe weather hazards, including very large hail greater than golf ball size and a few tornadoes, are possible.

Strong to severe thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening. Heavy rain and flooding potential will also be possible, especially across central WI.
A Flood Watch is in effect for portions of east central and south central Wisconsin through Tuesday morning.
Additional rounds of thunderstorms Tuesday through the end of the week. Heavy rain and flooding potential will accompanying this
activity.
Also there will be strong to severe thunderstorm chances Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday and again toward the end of the week.
There was a mini small tornado in Hartford WI but it didn’t do any damage.
