April 7, 2023 – Town of Kewaskum, WI – On April 7, 2023, at approximately 12:15 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a possible single vehicle accident on Ridge Road at Kettle View Drive in the Town of Kewaskum.
Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office along with the Kewaskum Fire Department and West Bend Fire Department Fire Department and Paramedic Intercept responded to the scene.
Upon arrival of the first deputy, it was determined that the vehicle had extensive damage. After fire personnel completed extrication, it was determined that the driver, who was the sole occupant, was deceased.
A 30-year-old Town of Addison man was the operator of the vehicle. Initial investigation indicates the vehicle left the roadway and the operator corrected, but lost control of the vehicle again, which again left the road.
It then overturned and struck a row of trees. The roadway was closed for approximately five hours. The crash remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
This is the 4th traffic fatality investigated by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in 2023.
