Two people injured in separate snowmobiling accidents in neighboring Fond du Lac County

Dec. 18, 2016 – Fond du Lac, WI – Two people were hurt in separate snowmobile accidents in Fond du Lac County early Sunday morning.

Fond du Lac County Sheriffs said Bradford Doemel, 53,  of Ripon was ejected from his snowmobile when he approached State Highway 44-49 south of County Highway KK in the Town of Metomen.

Doemel ended up in a ditch. He was taken to Ripon Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash. The accident was reported at 12:27 a.m.

A second snowmobile accident was reported just before 2 a.m. in the Town of Ashford. A woman was thrown from her machine on a snowmobile trail in the area of County Highway W and St. Killian Drive.
A man in the group who was following her did not see her get ejected and was unable to avoid striking her on the trail.
She was taken to St. Agnes Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in that accident as well.
