Letter to the Editor | Understanding the Constitution – The perfect 250th birthday gift | By Sue True

May 19, 2026Washington Co., WI – Since running for Washington County Clerk in 2024, I’ve been quietly unwinding.  Not relaxing poolside eating bonbons, but unwinding the root cause of election integrity issues.  What I’ve learned is it’s the same root cause of most (if not all) economic, political and social issues we face today: we haven’t studied the constitutions.

Letter to the Editor Constitution

Our forefathers even warned, “If one fails to understand the fundamental principles of law, then there is no end to which he can be misled or deceived…such a person could easily become subject to government encroachments, or be maneuvered into surrendering his rights.”  I think we proved them correct.

Property tax, income tax, private vehicle registration fees, child custody issues, data center location approvals, medical/healthcare freedom, inflation – you name the issue, government encroachment shows up when fundamental law is hidden.

Thankfully, the solution is as simple as learning the fundamental law and I invite you to become a part of it.  Please join me in attending an upcoming Constitution Alive. 8-week in-person class program.

Date:  Wednesday’s starting May 20, 2026 thru July 1, 2026

Time: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

609 Sandy Acre Dr.

For individuals that have attended similar programs, please note that Patriot Academy Constitution Alive! Webinar material will represent the core curriculum.  However, the importance of the US and state constitutions will be emphasized.  Attendees will also be introduced to the most powerful tool soon to be used for restoration of fundamental law and accountability for government encroachment…the Grand Jury.

Attend one, all or as many classes in between.  There is literally no better way to ensure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.  Talk about a gift that keeps on giving.
