Sept. 23, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – The UW-WC Wildcat Golf Team goes 3 for 3 by winning the UW-Waukesha Invitational held at Ironwood Golf Course with a team score of 325.
The Wildcat players all finished inside the top six. Ryan Rausch was medalist, followed by Kevin Albrecht (2nd), Sam Krause (3rd) and Nikki Differt (6th).
“I could comment on their play today but telling you this story explains it better,” coach John Minz began. “We don’t have a scheduled practice before Marshfield Tuesday. They get out of the van after posting our best score of the year, and figured out a way to practice, that fits everyone’s schedule, before Tuesday’s Invite. It’s not just luck, they work for it.”
The Wildcats play Invites Tuesday and Thursday next week, before finishing the season with WCC State Tournament Oct. 1 and 2 at Mascoutin CC.
