Vehicle crash on I41 in Slinger leads to arrest for 4th OWI

 

Jan. 21, 2018 – Slinger, WI – Scott R Handel, 35, from West Allis has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Waukesha Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, fourth offense.

A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper responded to a single vehicle crash on I-41 near Scenic Road in Slinger. Upon arrival at the scene, the Trooper located the crashed vehicle which had been subsequently abandoned. After further investigations, the driver was identified, located and questioned.

The driver was then arrested for Operating While Intoxicated 4th offense, Bail Jumping, Operating After Revocation 4th offense, and several other traffic related charges. A legal blood draw was conducted at an area hospital and the driver was booked into the Washington County Jail without incident.

“Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.”
