November 11, 2019 – Hartford, WI – The fifth graders at Addison Elementary School performed its Veterans Day program before a gym full of students, staff, parents, grandparents and veterans.
In addition to singing God Bless America the students performed Taps in tribute to veteran and former guest speaker Howie Knox.
Knox, 99, was a frequent visitor to the school and often spoke about the history of Taps. His speech normally ended with a rendition of Taps on his bugle. Below is one of Knox final performances before his death, December 4, 2018.
