Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrest semi operator for drunk driving

Sept. 20, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 37-year-old Village of Slinger man for operating a semi-tractor tanker, loaded with 54,000 pounds of cement, for operation while intoxicated Tuesday evening.

At 4:46 p.m. Dodge County Sheriff’s Office provided the Washington County Sheriff with information a red semi-tractor tanker was east bound on STH 33 from CTH P and almost struck multiple vehicles head-on.

Information was also provided to our communications center that a Horicon Ambulance, in Dodge County, had to take evasive action to avoid a collision and subsequently injured the transported patient.

Two Washington County Deputies stopped the driver after he went into the ditch on I41 south of CTH K in the Town of Polk. The driver could not recall where he was coming from. He failed roadside sobriety testing and was arrested for first offense OWI.
